Located in beautiful Muskoka in the heart of Gravenhurst, Ontario we pride ourselves on listening to your hair goals and creating a plan to get you there while still maintaining the quality, integrity and health of your hair.
Not only will we give you a long term plan to get you to your perfect look but we’ll also provide the tools you need to recreate and maintain your new style day after day!

Meet Carol, Owner
At 12 years old, I knew I wanted to do hair. It was always something I was drawn to. I was so fortunate to have a very talented stylist named Kim Leonard took me under her wing at a very young age. With her guidance and encouragement I was accepted into and quickly became a licensed graduate of Modern Hairstyling School by the age of 18.
In 1987 I met the incredibly, talented, David Krampp, David introduced me to the concept of using basic design techniques and how to apply these rules when designing hair for beautiful people. It wasn’t long before I was working with and meeting many industry innovators like; Vidal Sassoon’s Christopher Brooker, Martin Parsons, Patrick Cameron & Ceclia Leatherbary to name a few. I would tell you that with every opportunity I have been able to implement a jewel of knowledge and develop my skills to be the best hair designer possible.
Over 40 years later and you surely trust I have a wealth of knowledge about your hair and this wonderful industry. Every day weare presented with opportunity to learn another hair tip or trick, this gets we excited, I can’t wait to inspire and share ideas with you.
What I love most about this career is the instantaneous joy that it brings to my clients. A new look can change everything and I can’t wait to give you the style that meets you where you are at today.

AN ODE TO OUR PAST
Remembering Dianne Rees
Before 181 Hairway to Heaven, we were originally known as Dianne’s Hair Way to Heaven. For the past 11 years, our beloved Dianne Rees was the owner and head stylist of your salon. Sadly, she was taken from us far too soon on June 29th, 2021. Dianne was passionate about this salon and her clients. She loved to take care of people and was inspired to create new looks for whoever sat in her chair.
As we move forward in the Hairway to Heaven journey, we want to continue to honour her legacy and provide that same passion, enthusiasm and love for her clients. Thank you Dianne. You’ll forever be in our hearts.
